Lola “Faye” Travis,  89 of Temperance, MI, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016.  Born September 10, 1926, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Oscar C. and Lola (Coons) Bryan.  She married Lee Roy Travis on November 14, 1942.  He preceded her in death on October 19, 2002.  Faye had been employed by the Erie Restaurant in Erie, MI for 20 years. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, where she had taught Sunday School for many years.  Faye enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, reading, sewing, and church activities, but most of all, spending time with the family.  She will be deeply missed by her family and many church friends.

Faye is survived by her loving children, Lee (Loretta) Travis, Jr. and Roxann (John) Satkowski; grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Kontak, Troy (Amy) Travis, Melissa (Mike Mirsky) Travis, John (Heather) and Kenneth (Amanda) Satkowski and 11 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Carol Luginbuhl and Doris Walters.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 8, 2016, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 9144 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the church.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
